Mar Albà, Ferran sanz and Manuel Pastor in the ranking World’s Top 2% Scientist of Stanford’s University

The new edition of the ranking, which has just been published, includes 41 researchers who have worked at Hospital de Mar and the Research Institute of Hospital de Mar. It is the highest figure achieved so far.

The World’s Top 2% Scientists ranking, prepared by Stanford University, places 41 researchers from Hospital de Mar and the Research Institute of Hospital de Mar among the most influential in the world. This list takes into account the most cited scientists and scientists in various disciplines, divided into 22 fields of knowledge and 174 subfields. 100,000 people, 2% of all scientists and scientists in the world, out of more than eight million active science professionals.

Actually, it’s two listings. One of them takes into account the whole career of researchers from citations in scientific journals. The second is similar, but based on data from recent years. Also there are other scientist of external instituitions as Laura Furlong of MedBioinformatics Solutions SL and Janet Piñero of Institut Municipal d’Investigacio Medica, that were members of GRIB.

So, three members of  GRIB, Mar Albà of evolutionary genomics group, Ferran Sanz of Integrative Biomedical Informatics group  and Manuel Pastor of PharmacoInformatics group, are part of this list.
